Teamed April Updates
What’s up Teamed fam! Continue reading to learn more about what we’ve been working on and what is on the horizon for Teamed- a platform connecting athletes and sports creatives.
Currently:
Teamed recently competed in OU Startup Showcase, which featured a 3-minute pitch to entrepreneurs from the university community and an expo round. We won $2.5k in non-dilutive funding from the Startup Innovation Fund, and made many valuable connections at the event! You can see our pitch (and the slide clicker turning off in the middle of our presentation) along with other local startups here.
After launching all social media earlier this month, we have amassed a sizeable amount of interest in our startup as well as many waitlist sign-ups. It is clear that Teamed is a service desired by both athletes and sports creatives, and we are working to get this platform made in the best way possible in order to help both sides achieve their goals!
We are actively searching for a developer to build our web platform, and aim to have Teamed released by the end of summer, with the mobile version to follow. If you or anyone you know would be interested in developing Teamed, please reach out!
Upcoming:
In the coming weeks, we will increase job search efforts for a technical developer who can make this platform the best it can be. We expect to begin development on our web platform by the beginning of summer, and we will continue to update you all on this process.
Teamed swag is on the way- be on the lookout for T-shirt and other merch giveaways!
Q&A:
We wanted to answer some questions you all provided on our waitlist. If you have any more please send them our way!
Q: “How can (athletes) see their product without just screenshotting or something without paying?”
A: All proofs sent on Teamed during the creation process will have watermarks of the creative’s name and also the inability to be directly saved, ensuring content will not be stolen before payment. Athletes will receive final products with the opportunity to save once they pay the total amount set by the creative.
Q: “How do (athletes) connect with a creative in their area for photoshoots and such?”
A: Teamed will offer proximity search functions so that athletes can find photographers, videographers, etc. nearest to them.
Q: “How much will Teamed cost to use?”
A: Teamed will be a free-to-use platform! We will only charge a small commission fee (a lower rate than our competitors) on transactions.
Thank you for your interest in Teamed! Stay informed by following our social media pages and joining the newsletter.
If you know of anyone who would be interested in this first-of-its-kind platform, please share with them, it would be greatly appreciated!
